There are weddings that feel like a beautiful whirlwind of joy, love, and laughter and then there’s Ryan and Emilie’s summer wedding at Linwood Gardens. From the moment I arrived, I knew this day was going to be something truly special.
Tucked away in Linwood, NY, just outside of Rochester, Linwood Gardens is the kind of venue that feels like it’s straight out of a dream. Think: lush garden paths, historic charm, and golden light that pours in just when you need it most. It’s a hidden gem and an absolute favorite of mine for a reason.
Ryan and Emilie spent the morning getting ready surrounded by their closest friends. There was so much laughter, a few happy tears, and that quiet anticipation that builds before something unforgettable. Their energy was calm, intentional, and full of excitement. Exactly the kind of vibe you want to carry into your wedding day!
They chose to do a first look before the ceremony and I can honestly say, it was one of the most heartfelt moments I’ve ever photographed. But what made it even more beautiful? They shared it in the company of their family and friends, who stood quietly nearby, watching with full hearts. And then because every love story should include a little furry joy, their dog came bounding over to join the celebration. Absolute perfection.
The ceremony took place on the stunning grounds of Linwood Gardens, surrounded by the rich greens and soft summer blooms. It was peaceful, emotional, and full of meaning. You could feel the love between them and the overwhelming support of everyone there to witness it.
As the sun dipped low, we snuck out for a few minutes during golden hour for couple’s portraits. That dreamy light, the peaceful gardens, and the way Ryan looked at Emilie like the world had just stopped for a second, it all came together in such a beautiful way. Those are the moments I live for!
They danced the night away. Under the stars, surrounded by their people, the celebration rolled on with so much joy. And just when we thought the night couldn’t get sweeter, they surprised everyone with soft serve ice cream to close out the party. Yep, it was just as good as it sounds.
