Brian & Elle’s Romantic Arbor Loft Wedding in Rochester, NY

Brian and Elle’s wedding at The Arbor Loft in Rochester, New York was the perfect combination of personal, joyful, and completely them. From their dogs joining them for getting ready and the ceremony to an ice cream truck rolling up to the reception, every part of their day had a thoughtful detail behind it.

The morning started at The Arbor Loft with plenty of time spent with the people closest to Brian and Elle. There was no shortage of laughter and fun with friends while everyone got ready, creating the kind of candid moments that make getting ready photos feel like more than just documenting hair and makeup.

And, of course, their dogs were there for it all. Having their dogs with them while they got ready made the morning even more personal and gave us plenty of sweet moments to photograph before the ceremony.

Elle also had a particularly special detail woven throughout the day: her sister created much of the wedding signage herself. The finished pieces were absolutely stunning and added a personal, handmade touch throughout the Arbor Loft.

One of my favorite things about photographing weddings is seeing the little pieces of a couple's everyday life become part of their wedding day. For Brian and Elle, that included their dogs joining them for their ceremony.

There is something pretty special about looking out during a ceremony and seeing your whole family there, paws included.

Their ceremony at The Arbor Loft was followed by time with their friends and family before we headed out for portraits.

For their portraits, we headed to Sunken Gardens, where the gardens gave us a beautiful natural setting for photos of Brian and Elle together. We took time for portraits of the two of them as well as photographs with their wedding party and family, letting them enjoy some time together while still creating beautiful, timeless images from the day.

Brian and Elle's reception was where their personalities really came through.

The catering was provided by Char Restaurant, which was especially meaningful because Brian manages the restaurant. Having a place that is such a significant part of Brian's life cater their wedding made the meal feel even more personal.

And then came one of the sweetest surprises of the night: Nestin's Ice Cream Truck arrived at the reception.

Because apparently wedding cake isn't enough when you can have an ice cream truck too. And honestly, I'm here for it.

Elle also changed into a second dress for dancing, which was the perfect way to transition into the party portion of the evening. It gave her a completely different look and made it even easier to enjoy the dance floor with everyone.

The entertainment was another detail that had a story behind it.

Brian and Elle met at a Zac Brown Band concert, so having a Zac Brown Band cover band play during their reception was such a fun nod to the beginning of their relationship.

Their reception also included Encore Events, keeping the dance floor going throughout the night.

It was the kind of reception where the music wasn't just background entertainment. It was part of their story.

What stood out most about Brian and Elle's Arbor Loft wedding wasn't any one detail. It was how intentionally everything reflected who they are. Their dogs were included. Elle's sister poured her creativity into the signage. Char Restaurant catered the meal because of Brian's connection to the restaurant. They brought in an ice cream truck for their guests. Elle changed into a second dress to dance. And the music paid tribute to the concert where their story began.

Those are the details that make a wedding memorable.
